Meet New Interlibrary Loan Assistant Emily Fleischman

This Spring we’re pleased to welcome Emily Fleischman as our new Interlibrary Loan Assistant. Emily offers an impressive 27 years of experience within City University of New York, having contributed her skills and expertise across multiple departments at New York City College of Technology. Her background reflects a deep understanding of the institution and strong commitment to student support and campus operations.
Prior to joining the Library, Emily served in several key areas including the Vision Care Technology Department, Transfer Student Center and Recruitment Office, as well as in Public Safety. Through these roles, she developed a reputation for reliability, adaptability, and collaborative approaches to serving the campus community. Emily’s familiarity with CUNY systems and workflows makes her a valuable asset to the Library’s Interlibrary Loan division.
Emily is alumnus of New York City College of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Technology in Telecommunications Technology.
Outside of work, she maintains an active and creative lifestyle. A devoted New York Yankees fan, she balances her love of baseball with hobbies such as knitting and journaling. Emily is an avid gamer and dedicated softball player, engaging enthusiastically in both digital and team-based pursuits. A passionate reader and lifelong learner, she regularly attends author events and enjoys exploring new destinations with a special fondness for cruise ship travel.
