Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, you will
- Understand the program objectives.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of program participants.
- Be able to navigate the course materials.
- Be familiar with the basics of the publishing process.
Agenda
We’re at the project scoping stage now. This stage is all about making decisions, designing your book, and documenting your plans. Here’s what we’re going to do today to support you in this stage.
- Introduce ourselves and our projects.
- Define OER.
- Review the program objectives.
- Review the roles and responsibilities of the facilitator, authors, and CUNY OER Fellows.
- Get to know the course materials and publishing process.
- Learn about project scoping.

- Complete a draft of your project summary. While doing so, you may find it helpful to review one or more of the following sample project summaries created for the Rebus Textbook Success Program:
- If possible, preview the publishing platforms we’ll be discussing in the next session.
