Accessibility Features of the Web Version of this Resource

The web version of A Guide for the CUNY Open Publishing Collective has been designed with accessibility in mind by incorporating the following features:

  • It has been optimized for people who use screen-reader technology.
    • All content can be navigated using a keyboard.
    • Links, headings, and tables are formatted to work with screen readers.
    • Images have alt tags.
  • Information is not conveyed by color alone.
  • Options to increase font size are available in your browser.
    • On a PC, use the keystrokes Control-Plus (+) or Control-Minus (–) to adjust font size. On a Mac, use the keystrokes Command-Plus (+) or Command-Minus (–) to adjust font size.
    • In a drop-down menu available via a hamburger icon (Firefox) or vertical ellipses (Chrome) in the upper right of the browser, you can adjust the overall zoom settings for the browser.
    • Apple Support offers instructions for adjusting font size and zoom settings in the Safari browser.

Other File Formats Available

In addition to the web version, this book is available in a number of different file formats. Look for the “Download this book” drop-down menu on the home page of the book to select the file type you want.

This book links to a number of external websites. For those using a print copy of this resource, the link text is underlined, and you can find the web addresses for all links in the back matter of the book.
