Rhina P. Espaillat “Find Work”

Rhina P. Espaillat is a Dominican-American poet. She (currently) writes and publishes poetry in both English and Spanish, and translates many anglophone literary works into Spanish, including the poems of Robert Frost. In addition to publishing poems, short stories, and autobiographical essays, she also publishes literary criticism. She grew up in Manhattan, went on to study at Hunter and Queens College (!!) and lived in Flushing for most of her life. In this selection, Espaillat uses a poem from Emily Dickinson as an epigraph.
