Robert Frost was a 20th Century American Poet. His poem “Out, Out–” was published in 1916, in response to the death of a 16-year-old in a similar accident to the one related in the poem. You may recognize the title of the poem–it comes from Macbeth’s “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” monologue from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
