19 Blackboard layout

We have integrated the book into Blackboard.
You can do what you want with it but this chapter explains the basic structure.

Here is the main student-facing menu.

Open up *Course Materials*.

Inside you will three Blackboard Folders with descriptions of the three main features of the course structure.

“Becoming a College Student” contains the materials related to the 10 Things book. Open each of the links in this folder and you will find a link to the book, any related materials, potential assignments and some information for you as the faculty member for this course.

“Becoming a College Scholar” is focused on reading, writing and academic integrity for college.  Ideally these are integrated with your disciplinary content.

“Practicing you Scholarly Skills”  Is, essentially, where you put the disciplinary content. The idea is that the students will have an experience learning about a topic and use that to engage in the kind of work they are expected to do in college.
