25 Brightspace tips (Other things)

In Brightspace you will notice that there is a “NavBar ” across the top of the page (in your browser).

In our template Brightspace course we have a Nav Bar that looks like this.

You can make a similar one.  Specifically you probably have a menu bar like this one.

If you put your cursor to the right of More  you should see “…” (3 dots).

Click and then you can manage your tool bar.

Then click Create a New NavBar.  When you have finished creating it, click on Save, and then select your new tool bar and click Apply.

We suggest keeping it as simple as possible, only including links that you will actually use.

•  Course Home takes you to the Course home page.
• Grades let’s students (and you) to get to the grade information.
• Classlist gives a list of students in the class. (Not seen by studentss)
• Course Admin let’s you manage your course.  (Not seen by students)

Don’t be afraid to try your own arrangement  You can also create custom links that make sense for your course design.
