Freshman Year (0-29.9 credits): Explore and Discover

During the freshman year, the focus is on exploration and discovery. This is the time for students to get familiar with their academic environment, explore different areas of study, and discover their interests and strengths.

Specifically, in this stage you will

  1. Register with the Career Center
  2. Create Simplicity account (Medgar Evers College).
  3. Create a professional résumé and cover letter.
  4. Create a LinkedIn page
  5. Setup handshake account (Medgar Evers College).
  6. Attend Financial Planning workshop
