Sophomore (30 – 59.9 credits) – Get Involved and Decide on a Major

The sophomore year is a time to get involved and make key decisions, particularly choosing a major. With 30 to 59.9 credits under your belt, students have a better understanding of their academic interests and are more confident navigating college life.

Specifically, in this stage you will:

  1. Review course requirements for majors and minors.
  2. Complete a career assessment.
  3. Getting involved in community service activities
  4. Join an organization or club related to your major and career interests.
  5. Professional Development – Interview preparation.
  6. Networking
  7. Financial Planning
  8. Update and Refine resume, cover letter and LinkedIn
  9. Complete the Career Readiness Profile Survey.
