7 Randomness and sampling
Sampling is the process of collecting actual data for a student. This is something that must be well thought out before you start data collection. The process includes both which specific data you will collect and how much data you will collect.
Sampling is a large topic: the Sage research data base has 7 full books with “Sampling” in the title and that is just the beginning. because many of the works on specific methods go into great detail about the sampling methods (and theory) used with those methods.
