This project is the result of several months of work and the aid of awesome folk.

First, I want to thank Prof. Oswaldo Zavala, my advisor at CUNY Graduate Center, for encouraging me to narrow down the topics I wanted to cover and for having me be with the nose on the grindstone until get it done.

Second, thanks to Prof. Sarah Pollack for both coaxing me to once-and-for-all pen the syllabus draft and giving me the opportunity to teach this seminar at CUNY College of Staten Island in the Fall 2023. It was a key experience to rethink several ideas alongside the marvelous students that took that seminar. You guys are awesome!

Last but not least, I want to thank Elvis Bakaitis and Jill Cirasella from the CUNY Graduate Center Mina Rees Library for many reasons. Because thanks to the Spring 2022 Open Knowledge Fellowship and now the Fall 2023 Annotated Resources Guide Fellowship, I’ve been able to delve into the wonderful field of free- and open-knowledge. (Thanks for the big deal of patience, as well!)
