About the Author

Sitaji Gurung is an MD/PhD-trained medical doctor and scientist whose work centers on training future healthcare professionals through student-centered, evidence-based curriculum design. She currently serves as Program Director for the A.S. in Health Sciences and is a full-time faculty member actively involved in curriculum development and research. Sitaji’s academic and professional focus includes the intersectionality of HIV, cardiovascular health, and digital health, particularly how these domains influence population outcomes and health equity in underserved communities. She brings a deep commitment to applied research, evaluation practice, and fostering inclusive learning environments. Her writing reflects a strong belief in the power of open educational resources to promote access and excellence in health science education.
