Creative Commons Licensing

Creative Commons licenses give everyone from individual creators to large institutions a standardized way to grant the public permission to use their creative work under copyright law. From the reuser’s perspective, the presence of a Creative Commons license on a copyrighted work answers the question, What can I do with this work?

A publishing model that has transformed the accessibility and dissemination of scholarly literature by breaking down barriers that traditionally limited access to academic research. Open Access is a practice of making research outputs, such as academic papers and data, freely available online for anyone to read, download, and use without any subscription or payment.

Open Educational Resources (OER)

Teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under a license that permits their free use, reuse, modification, and sharing with others.
