21 Bake and Shark, E.U.A.

Rebecca Sewdass

Hello everyone, my name is Rebecca and I’m happy to be part of this opportunity. This is my third semester, and my major is travel, tourism, and hospitality. I have a Caribbean background as my parent is from Trinidad and Tobago and one of my favorite dishes is called bake and shark. It is typically made with fried like bread and then with fried shark, salad, and sauces on the inside. Sometimes it is even served with pineapple. It is typically not a spicy dish, but you can always add pepper sauce of course. It’s very simple but very flavorful when put together. It is also popular to have at the beach. Growing up in New York one of my favorite memories as a kid was going with my dad on a Saturday morning and getting a hot one from a local roti shop.
