The CUNY DegreeWorks Online Advisement Tool is a comprehensive, easy-to-use, web-based academic advising and degree audit tool that helps students and their advisors successfully navigate curriculum requirements. This tool is part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, which is a public university system in New York City.

DegreeWorks is designed to assist students in understanding and meeting their degree requirements:

  • Degree Audit: It provides students with an accessible, clearly outlined and up-to-date overview of their academic progress. It includes completed courses, courses in progress, and planned courses in the context of degree requirements.

  • Advising Tool: It is also used by academic advisors to provide more efficient, effective, and accurate advice. Advisors can use it to help students plan future academic courses, ensuring that they meet all the necessary requirements for their degree.

  • What-If Scenarios: DegreeWorks allows students to perform “what-if” analyses to see how their academic progress would be affected if they were to change their major, minor, or concentration.

  • GPA Calculator: The tool also includes GPA calculators to help students estimate future GPA based on their performance predictions in current and future courses.
