SEEK students who are majoring in a one-degree program and wish to transfer to another must first speak with their SEEK counselor to discuss the reason for the change and to outline which courses will transfer to the new major. Students can also use the DegreeWorks audit to explore their options. Students who intend to change into the RN Nursing program, a Baccalaureate degree program in the Department of Education, or into the Baccalaureate in Social Work must be aware that the required cumulative GPA to change is 2.7. Additionally, for the Nursing program, students must have a “B-” or better average in all science courses and must register as a Biology, A.S. student until all requirements are met for admittance into the Nursing program. For Education, students must also have a “B” or better average in all English courses. If the student is satisfied once he or she learns which classes will transfer, the student and counselor will sign a Change of Major form which the student must submit to the Advising Center. Once the change is put into effect, the student will receive a copy of the Change of Major form via postal mail.
