P or F: Pass/Fail
 Grading system used when the course content or format does not provide an appropriate basis for the alphabetic system of student evaluation. The Department may opt to assign the P/F grade to all students in a class if it is deemed appropriate. In addition, a student may elect to receive a P or F in any elective and must obtain approval from the instructor when enrolling in the course. A student may not complete more than 6 credits with P within the first 60 credits, and no more than 12 credits within the total baccalaureate program. P/F grades are not calculated in the GPA.
R: Repeat
 Grade given in a remedial or academic probation course that must be repeated. Not calculated in the GPA.
NC: No Credit
 Students who complete ENGL 112 or ENGL 150 with a grade below C may receive a grade of NC provided that they have made significant documented progress, even if they do not meet the minimum passing standards to earn a C grade. The course must be repeated in the following semester. Not calculated in the GPA.
INC: Incomplete
 A temporary grade for the student who is doing reasonably good work during a semester and who for some justifiable reason has not been able to complete a particular assignment. Students must complete the required work by the end of the subsequent semester otherwise the INC will become a FIN. Not calculated in the GPA. The work for an INC in a prerequisite course must be completed by the 6th week of the new semester in order to remain in the more advanced course.
FIN: Incomplete
 When INC grade reverts to an F grade. Calculated in the GPA.
W: Withdrew
 Students may withdraw from a class if he or she is not performing well or is unable to return for any reason. For students withdrawing from the 4th to 8th week, a grade of W is given. Not calculated in the GPA.

WA: Withdrew Administratively
 Grade assigned when students do not comply with immunization requirements.
WN: Withdrew Never Attended
 Grade assigned when a student fails to attend a course within the first 5 weeks of a semester. Financial aid will be withdrawn during the semester and student will likely owe a balance. Not calculated in the GPA.
WU: Withdrew Unofficially
 Grade assigned when a student stops attending class(es) and has not officially withdrawn from the course(s). Calculated in the GPA.
