Step 8: Document your sources with an annotated bibliography
Earlier in the process, you made a list of sources you were going to use. Now that you’ve completed your deep dive, you want to expand that bibliography to explain what each source is. You’ll do this by converting your bibliography from a standard bibliography to an annotated bibliography.
*Bibliography: list of sources
*Annotated bibliography: list of sources with annotation (extra text) that
explains what the source is and how it was used in your project.
Your annotated bibliography will be 1 document that has:
- All sources listed in alphabetical order
- Each source entry with:
- Citation in APA 7 form
- Paragraph (4-6 sentences) summarizing the source
- Paragraph (2-6 sentences) explaining how the source was used in your deep dive and to answer your question
