New York City College of Technology Mentoring Research Opportunities

9.1 Research Mixer

The Undergraduate Research Committee organizes a biannual research mixer event for both faculty and students. The mixer enables students and faculty to network and seek out research opportunities with one another. It also introduces undergraduate students to national and local research programs and provides the opportunity for them to learn about the research interests of City Tech faculty. At the Research Mixer, students have a chance to present their research projects, share their research experiences, and participate in a ‘wandering scholars’ segment which allows them to network with faculty. Information on summer research opportunities, internships, and scholarships is also provided, and a brochure listing the research interests of City Tech faculty is distributed.
