Evaluating the Mentoring Process and Experience

For the research process to be successful, constructive communication between mentor and mentee is critical. Moreover, the learning and research outcomes must be clear. The research experience should be designed to assist the mentee in achieving those outcomes. Careful assessment is necessary to measure the degree to which outcomes were accomplished. Assessment of the research experience, including the mentee’s performance, can be useful when planning future research projects.
