New in the Second Edition

The following updates have been made for this new edition of Start Here, Speak Anywhere!

  • Chapter 1, “Questioning and Decentering the History of Public Speaking,” is new to this edition.
  • Interactive activities have been added to several chapters.
  • A glossary of key terms/concepts and domain-specific vocabulary has been added.
  • Chapters have been reviewed and updated to meet the guidelines inĀ Appendix A: Checklist for Accessibility in the Accessibility Toolkit: 2nd Edition from BCcampus Open Education.
  • Headings have been added or adjusted as appropriate to promote comprehension, and textboxes and formatting have been adjusted as needed for chapter-by-chapter consistency.
  • Minor corrections have been made to the text where needed.
