How to use this page

The introduction is the place where you tell the story of your OER.

  1. For your introductory text, tell how your book came into being, tell about its unique contributions to the knowledge commons, and tell about the unique story or stories told in the book.
  2. Consider including a section of the introduction for faculty, explaining why and how they might want to adopt your book. Delete this section if you decide not to include it.
  3. Consider including a section of the introduction for students, explaining why and how they might engage with your book. Delete this section if you decide not to include it.
  4. Provide a overview of the sections of the book and what they will cover.
  5. Delete this text box and the attribution text box at the bottom of the page.
