Creating OER in Pressbooks

This section outlines the steps of creating Open Educational Resources in Pressbooks. It includes the following chapters:

  1. Why Pressbooks?
    In this chapter, you will learn about some of the features that may encourage you to choose Pressbooks for your next OER project.
  2. Using Pressbooks
    In this chapter, you will learn the basic steps for using Pressbooks.
  3. Planning Your Project
    In this chapter, you will learn how to plan the structure of your OER, including how to create a well-organized and consistent final product even if you are reusing and remixing material from different sources.
  4. Cloning and Importing
    In this chapter, you will learn how to clone an entire book, adding a new copy to your network, as well as how to import content into an existing book.
  5. Best Practices for Attribution
    In this chapter, you will learn how to credit the creator of any CC-licensed material that you reuse, revise, and/or remix in your OER.
