Pedagogies, Techniques, and Tips

Teaching is both an art and a science. Just like any art requires its practitioners to continuously hone their skills, to be a successful teacher, one must engage in deliberate and self-reflecting practices aimed at mastery. The science of pedagogy offers a plethora of techniques, methodologies, tools, and metrics for educators to evaluate and apply to improve their practice.

In this part of our instructor manual, we survey several techniques and methodologies, review possible applications of various technologies that can be useful in accomplishing certain instructional goals, offer summaries of strategies for moving through the cognitive domains in Bloom’s Taxonomy, and provide other resources.
